Capt. Bill(or B.J. short for Bill Jr……..we called dad B.S. for Bill Sr. but he didn’t like it) comes from a long line of fisherman. A fourth generation captain, Capt. Bill started out as baitboy at the age of 5 on his dad’s boat, the Miss Cathy. At the age of 23, he got his captain’s license and ran charter boats for several other captain’s until he got his first boat, the Southern Belle in 1996. In 2002 the business was moved down to Virginia Beach from Reedville and we haven’t looked back. In 2007 the Challenger II was purchased, and she is a much more comfortable, safer, and faster boat to fish from. We hope you will come and let us show you what the local waters have to offer.
Your first mate is Bill(or Gordy as we call him) is a seasoned fisherman with years of experience to his credit. Familiar with all of the local species, Gordy and Capt. Bill work well together to make sure your fishing experience is a great one. Whether it’s freshening up your bait, giving you tips on how to hook a keeper, or helping you land a whopper, you can be sure Gordy will do his best to make your trip successful. He does work only for tips however, and the customary 20% is appreciated.
